Im Rahmen des Mühldorfer Ferienprogramms führte Patrizia Weindl Kinder im Alter von 9 bis 12 Jahren durch den Auwald in Starkheim. Dieses Angebot wurde von der Frauenunion Mühldorf/Polling organisiert.
Insgesamt 14 Kinder aus den Gemeinden Schwindegg, Obertaufkirchen und Rattenkirchen gingen Ende August mit Treffpunkt Wildland auf Entdeckertour durch das Thalhamer Moos.
Ende August waren 13 neugierige Kinder aus Waldkraiburg zusammen mit Treffpunkt Wildland und Märchenerzählerin Irmelind Klüglein auf dem Gelände der Jugendbildungsstätte Haus Sudetenland unterwegs und erlebten den Wald mit allen Sinnen und vor allem durch interessante Märchen.
Am Nachmittag des 31. August 2016 machten sich 14 junge Waldforscher im Rahmen eines Ferienprogramms zusammen mit Johanna Vilsmeier von Treffpunkt Wildland sowie Karl Friedrich und Fritz Storfinger von der BN-Ortsgruppe Aschau am Inn auf den Weg den nahegelegenen Wald zu erkunden.
